Your telephone service was diabolical. I held on for 45 Minutes, waiting to speak with a person. I kept being told you were dealing with other patients and that you would get to me as soon as possible. It would have been far better if you asked for my number to call me back. That way I could have been doing something else whilst I was waiting

The male 'nurse' ? (surely not qualified) was not interested in what I had to say. He just appeared to work through a checklist, entering info on the computer. No eye contact, no individualised care and no interest in my opinion. I suffer from leukaemia and therefore have a low immunity, and although infections may start with minimal symptoms they can rapidly get worse.. This was not taken into account. Patients do know their own body! Later the same day I managed to get an appointment with the nurse at my own GP surgery. This was a complete contrast in patient care. The nurse asked about my medical history and taking this into account prescribed antibiotics for me. As usual my infection did get worse but soon responded to antibiotics.

Ensure patients are treated as individuals and listened to.
